Keep watching to see what Barak, the platypus, is up to! The image will update every 5 seconds.  Being a very active platypus, you may see him trying to catch a yabbie or worms using his duck-like bill. 

Can you see that Barak is swimming around with his eyes closed? When underwater, the platypus need to close their eyes, ears and even their nostrils! One of the Platy-keepers has a blog here.  Some people have asked about Barak's name. We hear it is also the name of an American politician, but this is a co-incidence. Barak the Platypus was named long before Barack the politician became famous. It is an aboriginal word.
