holding
Touch a snake when you attend the daily snake talk by our reptile keeper. You'll be surprised at just how warm and soft they can be, and you'll earn bragging rights to your friends back home!
At Lone Pine, pythons are used for the snake holding due to their generally quiet temper, and that they are non-venomous and are accustomed to being handled.
There are six species of python that are on the roster for the holding session, including: black-headed python, diamond python and carpet python.
These pythons kill their prey by constriction and swallow it whole. They have an amazing ability to eat animals many times their own size.
