NEW!

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary now offers an Animal Encounter show, just for vacation care! This 30 minute show is jam-packed full of animals to meet and it's a great opportunity to combine amazing animals with interesting facts.

What animals will you meet? So many of Lone Pine's residents have joined the new vacation care program, we can't possibly fit them all into one presentation. This means each Animal Encounter show is unique, you may never see the same combination of animals twice! You will get to meet a mixture (max 5) of the following:

  • Koala

  • Frog

  • Sheep

  • Lizard

  • Tawny frogmouth

  • Python

  • Dingo

  • Miniature horse

  • Bird of prey

  • Turtle

  • Day-old chickens

Following the show there is an excellent display of real feathers, skulls, eggs, bird nests, reptile scales, teeth, and more! Have your photo taken next to a real Tasmanian devil skull and find out how to identify snakes from their skins! Of course there will also be time to meet the presenter and ask lots of questions. What are you waiting for? This is a great show for the whole vacation care crew, kids and adults alike.

Don't forget the all time favourite vacation care activities:

  • Free range animal feeding: hand feed all sorts of kangaroos, wallabies as well as emus!

  • Treasure hunt: explore the sanctuary while scavenging and searching for hidden clues. There might even be treasure at the end!

Bookings are essential. Due to the popularity of the education programs, it is recommended you book well in advance.
