One of the most important roles of wildlife parks, sanctuaries, centres and zoos is providing educational opportunities for local, domestic and international visitors. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is no different. Only 15 minutes from the heart of Brisbane City, Lone Pine is a popular destination for K-12, tertiary and vacation care excursions. All programs are linked to the Queensland curriculum, so come and experience the unique opportunity of getting up close and personal with Australia's amazing wildlife. What you need to knowHours of operation Excursions can be booked Monday to Friday during Lone Pine's opening hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm
Programs There are a range of programs to suit K-12 students, as well as ESL, special needs and vacation care programs. Risk assessment Safety notes are provided within the Teaching Notes for each program once your excursion has been booked. Minimum numbers K-12 programs require a minimum booking of 15 students, vacation care requires a minimum booking of 12 students.
