Rose-crowned Fruit Dove

This spectacular, brightly coloured fruit dove spends its day in the canopy of rainforest. Despite its colourful appearance it blends in well with vegetation making it very hard to see. It feeds on a wide variety of rainforest fruits. Breeding occurs from November to April with 1 egg being laid in a nest made of sticks.
