JUNIOR KEEPER FOR A DAY

Ever dreamed of working with animals? Our Junior Keeper for a Day program is back!

Our exciting junior keeper program for animal-loving kids is back by popular demand!  Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is offering our junior keeper for a day program for children between the ages of 5 – 12 during the summer holidays.

A fully supervised day with an experienced wildlife education officer, junior keepers will undergo tasks of a wildlife officer and even get a peek behind the scenes! They will also have the opportunity to escort dingoes or wombats on their daily walks, get close to scaly snakes, pretend to be a tree for our owls and koalas and even get their hands dirty by cleaning animal enclosures!

The $98 ($80 for members) program includes fully supervised keeper tasks and activities, junior keeper badge, participation certificate, morning tea and a professional koala cuddle photo.

KEEPER FOR A DAY

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary's 'Keeper for a Day' program allows wildlife enthusiasts the opportunity to gain behind the scenes experience of what it's like to be a wildlife keeper. We can help create some of the most memorable wildlife encounters you may ever experience. Not only will you receive a fully guided tour (including behind the scenes and the wildlife hospital!), you will have the opportunity to learn what it is really like to be an animal keeper and spend one on one time with one of our experienced keepers, assisting them with daily duties.

The program includes koala photo gift pack, BBQ lunch, T-shirt and Certificate. The program runs for 7 hours with 1 hour for lunch. Spaces are extremely limited so be sure to get in quick so you don't miss out. Please note: this is not a behind the scenes tour, it's so much more! You will be immersing yourself in the full range of keeper duties and will therefore need to dress appropriately - not all tasks are glamorous!

PLATINUM TOUR

This is the all access tour. You will be met by one of our experienced keepers and guided around the sanctuary, giving you insights into our wonderful native wildlife. Then go behind the scenes with a visit to our animal hospital.

Access into Koala enclosures is next on the list where you will be able to get nice and close to get that perfect photo. There will also be ample opportunities to snap unique photographs that you wouldn't normally be able to achieve.

The tour lasts for 2 hours and includes a koala cuddle photo. Price is $250.00 per person and runs from 9:00am until 11:00am. Available Monday - Friday. Pre-book here
