Animal of the Moment'Animal of the Moment' is all about providing insight into the individual personalities of Lone Pine's wildlife.
Krystal the emu. Meet Krystal the emu! Emus are large, flightless birds growing up to 2 metres (6.6ft) in height. In fact, they are the tallest birds in Australia and the second tallest in the world after the ostrich. Krystal can be seen roaming free in the Kangaroo Reserve with her siblings BeeGee and Bailey. On hot days you may see Krystal enjoying a bath, splashing in puddles and laying down in the cool refreshing water. All of Lone Pine's emus love their fruit and vegetables but Krystal is particularly fond of juicy grapes! Krystal and her family are so friendly you can hand feed them next time you are at Lone Pine.
