The Green Tree Frog is
the most familiar species to people, because of its tendency to
inhabit human dwellings such as toilets.
Food
Feeds on small birds,
rodents and a wide variety of invertebrates.
Breeding
A deep barking sound
is made by the male to attract a female during the breeding
season. Spawn consisting of 200 to 2000 eggs is laid in
still water in Summer.
Habitat
Inhabits temperate and
tropical forests of coastal regions and the drier interior of
north-western Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland,
South Australia and New South Wales.
