Adult Crimson Rosellas
are usually seen in pairs or in parties of four to five
birds. Juveniles congregate in large flocks of up to 50
individuals, and can be distinguished from adults by their green
plumage.

| Food |

Feeds in foliage or on
the ground at the edge of forest clearings. Its diet
consists mainly of seeds especially those of Acacia and Eucalyptus,
with fruit also being eaten.

| Breeding |
| Breeding
occurs from September to January with four to six eggs being laid
in a tree hollow, usually in a tall eucalypt tree. The eggs
are incubated for 19 to 21 days and young fledge the nest 35 days
after hatching. |
